Questions before you start

Which languages can I learn?

English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Ukrainian, in any combination. Pick the language you are learning and the language you want your translations in.

Is it free?

Reading stories and tapping words for translations is free and needs no account. Saving vocabulary and scheduled reviews are part of the subscription, which you can see in full and cancel at any time in the app.

How much time does it take each day?

One story plus its reviews takes about five minutes. The app is built for that, not for hour-long sessions you will skip by day three.

Which level should I start at?

There are five levels, from A1 to C1. If you are not sure where you fit, the two-minute level check reads five short texts with you and recommends where to begin.

How is it different from flashcard apps?

You never build a deck. Words enter your vocabulary from something you were already reading, together with the sentence you met them in, so you remember the meaning and not just the translation.
